Louisiana Images

LaRC preserves an extensive collection of Louisiana images, including photographs, prints, and postcards.

Our image collection comprises roughly three hundred cubic feet. We have a printed index to our image files in our reading room. We are working to put selections from our image files online, beginning with “undivided back” postcards, which we hope to have online within three years.

We also preserve extensive images within our archival collections. Images within archival collections are discoverable through finding aids in the Victor H. and Margaret G. Schiro Reading Room, or by searching our finding aids online.

Our book, magazine, and print holdings are also an excellent source for Louisiana images of all types.
