About Sean Benjamin
Sean Benjamin began working as LaRC's Public Services Librarian in October 2010. He is responsible for reference and other patron services, acquiring books and serials, and maintaining LaRC's ephemera and map collections. Sean received a masters degree in library and information science, with a concentration in archives, in 2009 from McGill University in Montreal. He previously worked for several years as a reference assistant and archival processor at the University of New Orleans' Louisiana and Special Collections department.
Sean is a member of the Society of American Archivists, the Greater New Orleans Archivists, and the American Library Association's Rare Books and Manuscripts Section. He is interested in Louisiana and New Orleans political history, New Orleans historical geography, and the history of Louisiana labor, radical, and social movements.
